RMB Instow, home of 11 Amphibious Trials and Training Squadron Royal Marines. Demolition of two existing buildings to enable the construction of a new RDT Hangar.
The two existing structures marked for demolition comprised steel framed structures clad in cement-based asbestos sheets. Prior to the dismantling of the structures the asbestos sheets were removed by us and carted off site in covered skips to an applicable licenced waste disposal site. The steel framed brick buildings were then demolished and all rubble generated was crushed and recycled by us on site for use by the client in the new RDT Hangar construction.
These works were carried out within a very confined site area to ensure the base remained operational throughout the works.
